1. Open the Buildarity scored interview practice tool and go to Step 1, Job and resume.
2. Paste into Job description, required. Use the full job description. And make sure it has at least 200 characters.
3. Optionally paste into Resume, optional. Leave it blank if you only want the questions based on the role.
4. Choose Mode. Honestly, the free mode shown is Mixed. Meanwhile, Behavioral and Technical are Pro options.

6. In Step 2, Questions and answers. Answer by selecting Record, Upload audio, or Type instead.

Edit the transcript before you score interview answers

Theres a judgment call here. If the transcript says I led a migration for 15 users. When you said 50, fix it.

Privacy details for audio, job text, and answers

Audio never leaves your device. Spoken answers are transcribed on the device. With Whisper speech recognition. That is why device and browser support matter.

That doesn’t mean every piece of text stays local.

Job text and answers are sent to the AI service to generate feedback.

If you paste a resume, treat it as shared with the service for that purpose. The Resume field is optional. So leave it blank if the job description alone gives enough context for your practice.

Session history is a Pro feature. And is limited to the last 20 sessions on this device. Copy all feedback is useful if you want to save notes somewhere else. But be thoughtful about where you store interview answers that include employer names, client details, or private work examples.

Common mistakes and quick fixes

• A short job description can block question generation. Paste the full posting, not a title. And make sure the Job description field has at least 200 characters.
• A very long posting can bury the role details you care about. Since long text is trimmed to the first 6,000 characters, put the main responsibilities and requirements near the top.
• The browser may block the microphone. Allow microphone access, or switch to Upload audio or Type instead.
• An answer can be to short to score well. Plus, the app says to record atleast 5 seconds. But a serious practice answer usually needs enough time to include a situation, action and result.
• The app may hear almost nothing. Re record closer to teh microphone, reduce background noise. Or type the answer.
• An uploaded file may be rejected. Use mp3, wav, m4a, or webm. And keep the file under 25 MB.
• The AI serivce may not answer, time out, be blocked, fail to respond. Or return a unusable answer. If that happens, the transcript is kept. And you can press Score to try again.
• Free daily runs can run out. If you’re preparing over several days, practice the highest risk questions frist. Like gaps, role changes, failures, and examples tied to the job description.
• Scoring an unedited transcript can waste a run. Fix obvious transcription errors in Transcript, editable, before you press Score this answer.
