Keep in mind, it’s not built for standings, shedule planning, score tracking, or double elimination brackets. You get the idea. You’ll need a diffrent tool for those.
How this playoff bracket maker works
The tool creates a single elimination bracket by letting you paste or type.
In team names, one per line.
You can give your bracket a title. Pick an accent color, sort matchups. In order, click winners to move forward.
Then export the bracket.
In the free version, you can make single elimination brackets for 2 to 16 teams. The app supports up to 64 teams. If you have a bigger list.
It uses the first 64 names you enter.
That’s important to know if your list is very long.
Any teams beyond the 64th won’t count in the bracket itself.
What makes this tool strong is its simple focus. A bracket is a decision tree. Thing is, one team moves on, the other is done.
If you want things like scores, venues, start times, group tables, or a. Live page, a bracket image alone wont cover those features.
When a single elimination bracket is enough
This style of bracket is great when each match has one winner who moves on. One loser who’s out.
You’ll offen see this in playoff prediction sheets, small tournaments, school events, or. Casual sports where the bracket itself matters most.
But it’s not the rihgt setup. If teams must play more then one.
Guaranteed game, if you need rankings based on multiple games. Or if there’s a loser’s bracket. This tool doesn’t handle double elimination, round robin, schedules, venues, or score tracking.

Add teams, choose matchup order, and pick winners
Start with clear team names in your bracket maker
Your bracket maker works best when team names are easy to read.
Place one team per line in Matchups.
Then, scan the entire list before you begin picking winners.
Extra notes, repeated names, or inconsistent naming can amke the exported PNG harder to understand.
If the team list is still being updated, wait before selecting winners. And The app warns you that changing teams will reset your picks.
This reset happens becuase the bracket structure is changing. Also thats exactly how it should be.
Choose seeded order or as entered matchups
Select Seeded (1 vs N) if you want a bracket maker with seedings. Truth is, this matches teh top seed against the lowest ranked team.
It’s the usual pairing. For a high seed versus low seed.
You should pick As entered (1v2, 3v4) if you already know the first round matchups. This suits coaches or organizers who have a official list. And want a clean layout.
Use series labels and accent colors thoughtfully
Series label is handy if rounds follow a best of format, like Bo7. And The label then appears on yuor bracket, makign it clearer.
Pick None when adding a label would jsut clutter the view.
The Accent color option is small but changes how the export looks.
If your color choice makes text hard to read. On screen or print, check it with Color Contrast Quick. Before sharing the bracket.
Export your bracket as PNG, PDF, JSON, or plain text
A playoff bracket maker needs several ways out to suit different needs.
PNG gives you a quick image, PDF works better for printing. And JSON saves the bracket’s data.
You can also get plain text picks. If you only need to share the selected winners.
| Option | Best use | Watch for |
|---|---|---|
| Download PNG | To save or share the bracket as a picture. | Gives an exact snapshot of the bracket as it appears. |
| Export PDF | For printing a clean copy of the bracket. | You may need to allow pop up windows for the export. |
| Export JSON and Import JSON | To quickly move bracket data in or out of the browser. | Invalid files are rejected with That file is not a valid bracket. |
| Copy picks | To paste winner choices into notes or messages. | Here’s plain text only, no visual bracket included. |
| Save and Saved brackets | To revisit named brackets later in the same browser. | Saved brackets rely on localStorage within your browser. |
| Get Embed Code and Copy Code | For embedding this tool in a webpage. | This does not support cloud sharing of saved brackets. |
If you want another image format. After downloading a PNG, try the Private Image Converter. Instead of rebuilding your bracket from scratch.
Privacy and saving data in your browser
The bracket runs entirely in your browser. So your data stays on your device.
You won’t get cloud saving, syncing across devices, or public sharing.
But you do avoid storing data on a server.

If local storage is blocked or cleared, you may see Saving is not available in this browser..
For anything you cant afford to lose. Export your bracket usign Export JSON as a backup. And get a visual with Download PNG.
Thnik of Save as a quick option for browser storage. Not a way to access your brackets from other devices.
